:::I prefer "commercial". Doom95 can be downloaded for free, but it's offered in commercial packages. A shareware item is a promotional commercial sample. Things have varying degrees of officialness; any port by the community is also based on the source Carmack officially released, some stuff is made by id itself, and some is made for id but independently developed by a 3rd party (like DOOM 64). DOOM II is more official than Evilution, which is more official than Hacx. [[User:Who is like God?|Who is like God?]] 23:13, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Possibly useful, but IMHO not the right name because it sounds like it applies to both commercial releases and source ports, which we've always tried to keep distinct. What about Category:Official_ports? Or renaming Category:Games to Category:Commercial_games, and having subcategories within it? Ryan W 17:31, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

I would prefer either "Official ports" or "Commercial ports" instead of the current category name. -- Janizdreg 18:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
