Essentials[edit]

Take the blue and yellow keycards in the starting area then go north into a chamber with two zombiemen. Turn left and open the door (requiring the blue key) then head past the monsters here to a round room with a shotgun in the center as well as health and armor bonuses. Head west to a wall with round holes and kill the imps and zombiemen behind it then turn right to kill a demon, plus one or two imps on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) skill level or higher. Go through either of the round doorways to a room with a square nukage pool then turn right and head through the east doorway to a Hellgrowth room with many moving platforms.

Kill the zombiemen (and shotgun guys on HMP or higher) then step over the platforms to a room with an exit door. Kill any waiting imps and spectres then take the red keycard sitting in the south-west corner, use it to open the exit door and press the eye switch on your right to finish the level.

Other points of interest[edit]

In the room with the shotgun, there is a door to the south (requiring the yellow key) that leads to a hall with another red keycard; if you enter this room then the red key in the exit room will be permanently hidden behind a wall. Approach the red key sitting on the computer terminal and it will be replaced with a set of bars; this will also lower a pillar in secret #6 holding another red key, which you must pick up to finish the level.

Taking the red key in the penultimate room will raise a wall at the entrance to this room, preventing you from backtracking unless you have used the passage past secret #8 which will open another exit from the room. You can lower the wall again by going through the door to the south room.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Open the blood-stained wall in the south-east corner of the starting room to find health bonuses, armor bonuses, a box of bullets, shotgun shells, a backpack, a radiation shielding suit and a shotgun. (sector 41)
  2. The shotgun in secret #1 is on a secret teleporter that takes you to the room with nukage at the north-west end. You will be in the center of the nukage, facing north-west towards a switch. Press it, then head south-east and use the switch at the end of a fleshy passage to lower a berserk pack. (sector 228)
  3. In the starting room, press use on the evil eye in the south-west corner. Enter the room to the north and look for a large hole on the east wall. Go through it to find a partial invisibility. (sector 252)
  4. The teleporter in secret #11 leads to a secret area at the north end of the map with a stimpack, shotgun shells, rockets, a backpack and a rocket launcher (only on I'm Too Young to Die (ITYTD) and Hey Not Too Rough (HNTR) skill levels). (sector 263)
  5. The door at the north-east end of secret #4 requires the red key and leads to a room with armor bonuses, a stimpack, a clip and shotgun shells. (sector 296)
  6. Entering the area past secret #2 opens a wall west of the nukage room where you can find shotgun shells and a red key. (sector 306)
  7. In the room with the exit door, look at the east wall and press on the plain gray wall that is second from the left to get a computer area map. (sector 311)
  8. In the Hellgrowth hallway with rising and lowering platforms, go to the south-west side and onto the platform that is second from the left. Face north and you will see an eye switch when the platform in front of you rises. Use it, then head to secret #2 to find a passage with a stimpack. (sector 315)
  9. Entering the passage in secret #8 reveals a passage at the north-east corner of the room you come to, which contains another stimpack and leads to the red key room. (sector 319)
  10. In the hallways at the west side of the map, go through the lava going east to get a berserk pack. (sector 331)
  11. In the hallways at the west side of the map, go through the lava going west to get health bonuses and a teleporter. (sector 361)
  12. Grabbing the red key reveals a door in secret #2 that requires the yellow key. Open that door, then open the door to the south. In this big room, the north-west side has armor bonuses and a box of bullets, and the north-east side has health bonuses and a chaingun. Both areas count as the same secret. (sector 375)
