Yeah, I expected you to [http://doomwiki.org/w/index.php?title=Usenet_groups&curid=18290&diff=108754&oldid=108720 balk] at that. ;) But the trouble with some (many?) of those archived Usenet links is that they don't have a nice and presentable title and/or have other issues. Still, I'll give it a go.

: Not a huge deal and it's understandable if there are such issues, however title is an optional component in cite web - you can leave that parameter out and the hyperlink will present in its place. This allows the author, date of posting, etc. to still be visible. In fact, most of the info is optional and the citation will try to degrade gracefully. Yeah, I expected you to balk at that. ;) But the trouble with some (many?) of those archived Usenet links is that they don't have a nice and presentable title and/or have other issues. Still, I'll give it a go.

Not a huge deal and it's understandable if there are such issues, however title is an optional component in cite web - you can leave that parameter out and the hyperlink will present in its place. This allows the author, date of posting, etc. to still be visible. In fact, most of the info is optional and the citation will try to degrade gracefully.
