Why is this called DeprecatedTemplate and not just Deprecated? --Kyano (talk) 21:42, 24 April 2014 (UTC) Because it's to mark a template as being deprecated, not the content of an article. We could imagine a deprecated template would be used to mark things (like utilities, mapping practices, port features, whatever) as being deprecated; and that template would display a notice for users of the wiki and maybe put the article in a special category.
