Group nomination for the files in the left-hand column:

In each case AFAICT the newer file was considered more topical, higher quality (without going overboard), or more policy-compliant than the file it replaced... or else the first uploader never used the image in an article, so no one else actually saw it while it was relevant.  Therefore, this nomination shouldn't be controversial, but if you know better please speak up!

  • Delete as unnecessary copyrighted media.    Ryan W 01:47, 14 March 2014 (UTC)
  • Delete and I wish people would learn to use "Upload new version of this image" instead of creating tons of File:Foo2.png everywhere on the wiki when they want to replace File:Foo.png. --Gez 13:54, 14 March 2014 (UTC)
  • Out of this group I wish to Keep File:NightmareSpectre.PNG; the corresponding article mentions but does not show the Doom 64 TC version of the monster. For others I vote Delete. --Quasar 14:14, 14 March 2014 (UTC)
A very fair point.  Indeed, that monster's notability was established on the grounds of its appearing in multiple ports with the same behavior, but the graphics are completely different.  (Wow, next I'll be uploading Dragon Ball screencaps to wikipedia...)    Ryan W 21:40, 14 March 2014 (UTC)   EDIT: Updated list accordingly.   Ryan W 17:24, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
On File:Hunter1440 1112697221.jpg, I still agree that we should delete this because it has unknown copyright status; however, this imageactually shows the Hunter in his proper environment (the boss fight arena) whereas the one currently in use is apparently someone using the summon cheat, and has less than optimal lighting. I will probably end up replacing that picture with a screenshot of my own taking which will end up looking very much like this one. Just wanted to mention it. --Quasar 16:53, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
  • Delete and thanks for putting this list together yourself. --Kyano 18:17, 2 April 2014 (UTC)

Can we please update the list to not include NightmareSpectre.PNG, since it has been integrated into the corresponding article? --Quasar 17:17, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Deleted all but the nightmare spectre per the above arguments.  The copyright point most likely doesn't apply to the Freedoom image, but the others do — the new one is much clearer, presumably shows a more recent release, and has been in the article since 2009 without apparent controversy.    Ryan W (talk) 23:22, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
