MAP28: Galut (Pesha)

Pesha maps
This level occupies the map slot MAP28. For other maps which occupy this slot, see Category:MAP28.

MAP28: Galut is the first map of Pesha. It was designed by Darryl Steffen (dobu gabu maru), and uses the MIDI composition "Field of Wind" by Aaron Walz.

The map serves as an atmospheric introduction to the remaining two levels, and contains almost no combat or puzzles, instead serving as a short, visual-oriented vignette. It focuses on the protagonist's journey from his home to the tower of Babel.

The title is Hebrew, and means "diaspora".

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

Leave the starting room, ascend the stairs to the outside, and enter the brown building on your right. Enter the room at the end of the corridor and press the switch hidden within the painting over the bed. Head down the bookcase passage until you come to a cave with several crates inside; at the far end of the room is a lift activated by a switch. Head up the lift and walk onto the boat.

Secrets[edit]

There are no official secrets in this map.
