Talk:Id Anthology

From DoomWiki.org

Hopefully there's someone out there that has a copy of this and will be willing to add a photo :-) Fraggle 00:02, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm just asking a question.[edit]

I have a pdf file of id Anthology (80mb) I put together and I want to give it or something to other people but I don't know.

The doom comic is available for everyone to see then can I put the book of id up?

Technically, it's copyrighted material, so you shouldn't do that (thanks for the photo, though :-). Fraggle 10:24, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Just removed this from the article again.  I suppose this will keep happening, in light of inconsistent responses like [1] and [2].    Ryan W 16:01, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
Update: Sorry my latest reversion had no edit summary.  See User talk:74.70.46.137.  And yes, I'm aware that "warez" is a less exact term than "samidzat", for example, but the latter sometimes connotes approval.    Ryan W 17:32, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

More info about id Anthology[edit]

On the vintage cd the install files for all the games were changed and vintage.log is needed for the .bat file to install.

On the doom cd only the doom 2 install files were changed and the .bat needs doom.log to install.

Doom 2 from id anthology has a manual.bat file with doom2.txt

Final doom is the same and ultimate doom has the dos install files and doomcd 2 times.

Nothing different on the quake cd.

On the mac cd doom and doom 2 are the same wads as pc.

The final doom wads on the mac cd are different from the pc wads.

I am not sure exactly what is different but the tnt.wad yellow key on level 31 is there.

Maybe they fixed more stuff in the mac wads - they are newer.

You can take the wads from the mac cd and play the wads on the pc with no problem.

wolfenstein 3d on mac has new weapons rocket launcher and a flamethrower and a new episode level second encounter.
