Talk:Macil

From DoomWiki.org

Actually the flamethrower or fire grenades will kill Macil at any time

It's not a uniform.[edit]

A uniform is something that is standard issue, a "unified form" for the average grunt. A unique set of clothes hardly fits that description. Similar to and based on the standard Front uniform, yes, but because it is only worn by one person it's not "unified".

Pedantic and unimportant, but I felt like discussing it anyway.

The difference is minor, to begin with, between Macil and the player sprites and rebels. What difference exists is likely to distinguish his rank as the leader. If a four-star general wears a uniform and happens to be the only one at his level of rank currently, that makes his clothing not a uniform any longer, even if his dress is prescribed? I would agree that is pedantic. --Quasar (talk) 22:31, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
Sorry about that, just felt like being a little silly. Looking at the sprite again, it is actually quite similar to the standard issue. It's just that his profile pic looks rather different and that's the mental image that comes to mind when thinking about Macil. Sodaholic (talk) 22:37, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
