The .MID the Way id Did is a full soundtrack replacement for Doom II, released on 8 April 2021. It is vanilla compatible in the sense that all tracks can be played back in vanilla Doom. The separate MIDI files are also included, alongside some unused tracks.
The project was first announced on 3 October 2020 in Doomworld forums by Adam Post (Doomkid) with the initiate goal is trying to imitate Bobby Prince's style, similar to Doom the Way id Did but for music. But at the end, the project was ended up having a wide variety of music.
