30uv1441 is a complete tool-assisted speedrun through Doom II in 14 minutes, 41 seconds. It was released on January 20, 2004 by Andrey "entryway" Budko.

The demo was recorded on a modified version of PrBoom written by Budko himself. This version was the base for PrBoom+. The main feature of his custom version not present in the original PrBoom is the ability to activate permanent strafe50. All versions of PrBoom include slow-motion recording and save states, the latter of which Budko used sparingly.

Budko's run eclipsed the March 2000 tool-assisted record of 16 minutes, 17 seconds by Marijo "Sedlo" Sedlic in 30uv1617. This was achieved by taking advantage of newly-discovered routes and tricks, and the use of the strafe50 modification.

The fastest speedrun through Doom II on Ultra-Violence difficulty level without tool-assistance and using an unmodified Doom engine is 26 minutes, 9 seconds by Radek Pecka.

Since releasing 30uv1441, Budko has also set world records for tool-assisted runs in three out of the four episodes in Ultimate Doom: Knee-Deep in the Dead in 04:05; Inferno in 03:15; and Thy Flesh Consumed in 02:32.

Improvement[edit]

30uv1441 is not a maxed-out speedrun. On the Doomworld forums in January 2004, Budko announced the possibility of recording an updated Doom II speedrun with a running time under 14 minutes, but never did it.

A built run in 14:02, by Adrian Danis (RamboBones) was released in 2006. In April 2022, almostmatt1 released another built run, completing the game in 9:42.
