32in24-12: IRON MAPPER is the twelfth edition of the 32in24 series of PWADs, where a 24-hour mapping session is held with the intention of creating 32 multiplayer maps. This time, the maps were designed for Capture the Flag mode.

The session took place on 12 August, 2012, and used a texture WAD compiled by Sarah Mancuso (esselfortium) especially for the session. Like the previous WAD, there was a week of playtesting following the session, including the Odamex Nitro event for that week, and then another 24-hour period was allowed for polishing the maps based on the feedback gathered.

37 maps were submitted to the project. The final WAD was compiled by Eric Baker (The Green Herring) and uploaded to the /idgames archive on 28 August, 2012. The WAD received very positive reviews consistent with some of the more successful instalments of the series, although it was beaten to the multiplayer Cacoward by WhoDunIt.
