The Wad format is still used today but there are some things you need to know about it
- wads can be compressed
- the have an 8 character limit
- they always end in .wad
- they have no tress aka no folders
- files in a wad are know as lumps aka lump on a log
- all files inside are lumps even textures
- can include alot of other things aka music dehacked patch ect
- there are two types of wads iwads and pwads iwads can stand alone without any other wads while pwads need a certain iwad to run
