Breach is a map for Doom II requiring a limit-removing source port to play. It was designed by Alun Bestor (Viggles). It originally used the music track "Waiting For Romero To Play"; the /idgames version instead uses "Breach", an original music track by Conelrad. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 10:00.

The level was originally released on 14 January, 2015, and received one of the 22nd Annual Cacowards. It was uploaded to the /idgames archive on 30 December, 2017.

Secrets

  1. Open the door at the start. In the next room, head to the northwest and look for darker patches of floor near the wall. Lower the wall here for a blur artifact. (sector 40)
  2. Open the door at the start and take the stairs to the west up to the next door. Enter the next room with the light shining from the silo. Go on the west side of the southwestern column to find a switch. Flipping it lowers the wall to the east for a brief period of time. Enter this passage grabbing health bonuses, eventually you will reach a chaingun (on Hurt Me Plenty or lower) or two ammo clips (on Ultra-Violence or higher). (sector 157)
  3. From the room with light shining from the silo, open the north door and flip the switch at the end. Return to the first room and head north, then west up the steps. Look east and shoot the button on the wall, then head east through the wall that opened up. A radiation suit is nearby, helpful for the nukage here, and you can get stimpacks, shotgun shells, health bonuses, medikits, rockets, and a megaarmor. Use the button to the west of the megaarmor to reach a box of ammo. (sector 2474)
  4. In the area east of the yellow key, use the terminal on the west wall at the bottom of the steps to reveal a soul sphere. (sector 1229)
  5. At the main bridge, where the break in the bridge flows blood to the nukage pond to the southwest, walk through the nukage fall here and the gate will open. Climb up, getting supplies until you reach the berserk pack. (sector 339)
  6. Reach the higher ledge in the central room of the map (the one with water). From there, head to either eastern end of the higher ledge, above the yellow door. Press on the eastern walls to lower them and collect health bonuses and partial invisibility. Both hidden walls count for the same secret. (sector 1871)
  7. When you expand the outer walkway in the main room, head south and east. Next to the crate with the stimpack, use the monitor to lower into an area with a chainsaw, lost souls, stimpacks, an ammo clip, and shotgun shells. (sector 2117)
  8. North of the main area, go east from where the mancubus emerges. The windows to the east will open, revealing chaingunners. A button on the east wall can be shot at, opening a wall to the south. Take it to get shotgun shells, a green armor (not on Hey, Not Too Rough or lower), and armor bonuses. (sector 4300)
  9. Near the previous secret, enter the room with imps (not present on Hey, Not Too Rough or lower) and go towards the medikit. If you look closely at the blue lights, the one in the center is indented a little. Press it to lower some steps to some health and armor bonuses, and approaching the pillar will lower it revealing a computer area map. (sector 4446)
  10. On the high ledge where you can get the blue key, go to the side opposite of where the key is, and use the switch to take a lift down. Head right and follow the health bonuses to the wall with caution stripes. Press on it to reveal a soul sphere. (sector 4955)
