The carcass is a new monster introduced in Doom Eternal. It appears to be the upper torso of a zombified human fused with a robotic chassis with multiple insectile- or arachnid-like legs and a blaster fused into its arm. This blaster can fire ring-shaped lasers or create a wall-like force field to protect itself or other monsters at cost of mobility.
Pre-release
The carcass was first observed in footage released in March 2019 for the Google Stadia reveal.[1]
