There was only one article in this category, and there was only likely to ever be one article. It would make more sense (if we want to track software by the OS it will run on via categories) to create {{deleted|Category:Macintosh software}}, {{deleted|Category:DOS software}}, {{deleted|Category:Windows software}}, and put e.g. [[DeHackEd]] in both [[:Category:Exe editors]] and {{deleted|Category:DOS editors}}.

There was only one article in this category, and there was only likely to ever be one article. It would make more sense (if we want to track software by the OS it will run on via categories) to create Category:Macintosh software, Category:DOS software, Category:Windows software, and put e.g. DeHackEd in both Category:Exe editors and Category:DOS editors.

This only makes sense if Editors is approximately a complete list of notable editors.  If that list grew much larger, then each of your proposed categories could contain 150 articles, which is why I reorganized the categories the way I did.
If not, however (and I came into the editing business rather late, so I'm not sure), then your system is probably simpler.  I would suggest naming the categories "add-on software" instead of "software", unless you also want to include the games themselves.    Ryan W 23:32, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
