The Crossbow is a weapon from Strife, not to be confused with the Ethereal Crossbow from Heretic. The Crossbow uses two different types of arrows. One type is an electrical arrow that appears to do improved damage to mechanical targets like Sentinels, Stalkerss, and Crusaders, however the base damage is weak against mid to high tier enemies. The second arrow type are poisonous arrows, useless on machines like the aforementioned, however fatal to human or humanoid targets, such as Peasants, Acolytes, Templars, and other flesh targets, as they will be instantly killed and in a stealthly way. You can use this to also pick off people like Harris or Governor Mourel to avoid sounding off the alarms they set on death.
