DBP09: Legend of the Hidden Tech is an episode for Doom II designed for limit removing source ports led by Big Ol' Billy, and released in March 2019. It is the ninth installment of the ongoing Doomer Boards Projects series and includes nine levels by various members of the Doomer Boards community. Levels are themed around a mix of tech and Mesoamerican ruins, with the plot involving the player being a contestant on a Mesoamerican-themed dystopian game show.

Custom monsters

Dune warrior
The dune warrior replaces the Wolfenstein SS. It does not feature any changes to the default enemy behavior or stats, just a more thematically-appropriate sprite change. The sprite comes from Realm 667 and the monster's name originates there too as it is not defined in the DeHackEd patch.
Security camera
The security camera replaces Commander Keen, has 50 hit points, and does not count towards the end of level kill count. Like the monster replaces, it does not pose any threat to the player. Many levels make use of the tag 666 special that will trigger when all security cameras in a level are destroyed, most notably the progression-stopping MAP08, which features a "secret" exit that can only be unlocked by destroying all security cameras in the level.
