Deadly Standards is a limit removing community-made episode replacement for Doom. It replaces Episode 1 and features a similar tech base theme. Several of the levels feature original MIDIs composed by John Weekley (PRIMEVAL) specifically for the project. The project was started by Josh Baker (mrthejoshmon) on the Doomworld forums on April 3rd, 2017 but he stepped away from the project on June 25th, with Walter Confalonieri (daimon) taking over leadership of the project five days later and seeing it to completion. The first release candidate was released on February 19th, 2018 with an idgames archive upload following on February 28th. It was followed by two sequels in 2019 and 2021, with a fourth installment in development.
