Disciple of D'Sparil in Heretic E2M9

The Disciples of D'Sparil are enemies from Heretic. They are fairly generic looking dark wizards with black robes and faceless hoods. When attacking, they flicker in and out of ghost state, then launch a spread of three purple bolts. D'Sparil is capable of casting a spell that summons his Disciples. When killed, they sometimes drop a Claw Orb, and may also drop a Tome of Power on rare occasions. They possess 150 Hit Points each.

The whispered incantations that the Disciples of D'Sparil say are actual phrases played backwards:

  • WIZSIT - "Destroy the Heretic"
  • WIZACT - "Succumb to us, Heretic"

Some source ports refer to the Disciple of D'Sparil as "Wizard".
