The Doom Wiki is a community project with the goal of documenting everything related to id Software's classic games Doom and Doom II, next generation games including Doom 3, Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal, and other games based on the Doom engine. The Doom Wiki was founded by Fredrik Johansson on January 5, 2005. The aim of this project is to cover:
- The games themselves, as well as other games with significant homages or notable relationships to Doom
- History and memorabilia
- Gameplay and strategies
- Trivia of all kinds
- Technical information
- How to edit the games
- Speedrunning
- Notable Doomers and Doom websites
