RFC[edit]

I am opening an RFC on the two pending edits to Sega Saturn due to lack of response on its talk page in over a month. --Quasar (talk) 21:44, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Problem[edit]

The music table recently added by User:MtErebus is unusually and problematically formatted, and might be more appropriate as its own article given its size and its parity to similar articles.

Suggested solutions[edit]

Fork article[edit]

Since we have PlayStation Doom music, we could equally have "Sega Saturn music" and have the two articles cross-link since they are about closely related subjects (the same tracks, largely, make up both sound tracks, but the map assignments differ). Would suggest normalizing the format versus other sound track articles while doing this.

Yes; it seems the only logical approach. Looking at the current state, the Sega Saturn music section is just a table, with no explanation why there's a PSX column and all THE SONG TITLES ARE IN UPPERCASE FOR SOME REASON which really looks bad IMHO. --Gez (talk) 22:06, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
The tracks in this port are repeated in the particular order one after one. So, the only way of simplification of the article I could offer is just writing that order (these eleven tracks are repeated from MAP01 up to the MAP59), instead of making the table? I have made the PSX column in order to compare the maps that, on the one hand, use the same tracks as in the Saturn port or completely other. Quotation marks first appeared to me as even worse than the uppercase --MtErebus (talk) 19:11, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

Resolution[edit]

Split Sega Saturn article's soundtrack section into Saturn Doom music. --Quasar (talk) 11:45, 2 July 2015 (CDT)
