Doomworld Mega Project 2012 (originally named just Doomworld Mega Project) is a collaborative megawad, containing 40 maps from 40 different mappers from the Doomworld forums. The project was started by TimeOfDeath on March 13, 2012[1], and the final version was created on January 29, 2013[2]. The completed WAD was uploaded to the /idgames archive on March 01, 2013.
The goal of the project was "to get as many mappers as possible to contribute to a single project". The project accepted "small-medium sized" maps for Doom II - any and all, regardless of engine used, theme, content, or quality. Only one map was allowed per person, and no new resources (except for music) were allowed. The maps in the final megawad are sorted by the source port used (except for MAP30, which is out of order).
