Doomworld Mega Project 2017 is a collaborative megawad, containing fifty-one maps from as many different mappers, plus a hub map for ZDoom-based ports which allow the maps to be played in any order. As with previous projects, it accepted any maps for Doom II, regardless of theme, difficulty, quality, or target source port, though as with previous projects, use of the MAP07 or MAP30 slots was not allowed, nor were maps that could be potentially damaging to the user (e.g. by using scripts to change port settings, or using zip bombs).

The project was started on 17 January, 2017[1], and was led by StormCatcher.77. An initial compilation was made available on 5 January, 2018[2], followed by a final release and upload to the /idgames archive on 11 February, 2018[3]. All maps are contained in a single WAD file.
