The Super Shotgun can kill any enemy up to a [[Revenant (Doom 3)|Revenant]] in one body shot, provided that all of the pellets connect. If aiming for the head, the Super Shotgun can kill powerful foes such as is technically capable of felling any non-boss monster in the game, though the chances of getting all the pellets to connect point-blank in the head of a stronger monster like a [[Hell Knight (Doom 3)|Hell KnightsKnight]] within three shotsis almost impossible without [[The Artifact]]s' Hell Time effect. When going against multiple foes or a powerful foeIn fact, an easy way to take out strong non-boss monsters is to use [[The Artifact]] so that you have , switch to the Super Shotgun, and charge right under the head of the foe, blasting it point-blank. The Hell Time effect makes it easy to aim well enough time to successfully evade attacks ensure all pellets connect, and get close to a target without getting hitthe Invulnerability effect provided by [[The Artifact]] later on ensures that you are safe from retaliation.
