E1M1: The Singularity Complex I is the first map of The Classic Episode, Part 2. It was designed by Jan Van der Veken and uses the music track "Deep Into the Code".

EssentialsEdit

Note the layout of this level and the positions of the exit doors, as you will go through this area multiple times over the course of this episode.

Go straight forward into a nukage pool, then climb up the stairs at the other end to face some zombiemen and imps, as well as demons on Hurt Me Plenty skill level or higher. Go to the west end of the hub and pick up some armor bonuses, which will open a compartment nearby and allow imps to teleport in, then approach the south-west exit door (which has a flashing arrow pointing at it) to open it and reveal more imps. Pass through the door, noting some more imps that teleport behind you, and open a second door in front of you to find yet more imps defending the exit button.

Other points of interestEdit

A berserk pack is placed by the south-east exit door. Note that on HMP or higher, the fist and pistol will be your only available weapons for much of the level.

SecretsEdit

  1. Just before the door that leads to the exit button, press the damaged section of the north wall to reveal a box of shotgun shells (or a shotgun on HMP or higher). (sector 85)
