E1M1 is the first map of The Apocalypse Project. It was designed by Daniel Hornbaker.

Secrets

  1. The corridor outside the first room counts as a secret and is impossible to miss. (sector 144)
  2. The lift leading to the staircase east of the blue door counts as a secret and is impossible to miss. (sector 90)
  3. North of the blue door are two alcoves containing imps. The eastern one has a secret door on the back wall (marked with a different texture) leading to nine health bonuses, three armor bonuses, two stimpacks, and a box of shotgun shells. (sector 32)
