E1M6: Subterra is the sixth map of Phobos: Anomaly Reborn. It was designed by Christopher Lutz.

Walkthrough

Map of Subterra

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. When you enter the main complex of the map through the first door, you may notice an arrow of health bonuses pointing towards the lava. Go into the lava in this direction, and you should be under it and looking at a gargoyle switch. Press it and surface back into the room. Then, go to the other lava stream and press the gargoyle switch here as well. After doing so, return to the large river outside and go underneath the bridge. There would be a barricade here, but after hitting both gargoyle switches, this underwater barricade is now removed. Follow the underwater passage all the way around to the other side, where you can claim the soul sphere. (sector 670)
2. Once you have the blue key, return to the room at the northern part of the map, the same room with two pedestals to put the red and blue keys on. Place the blue key on the pedestal to open the bar to the southeast of the room. Take this path and the lift up. Drop off to your left at the top of the lift, and look toward the vine-covered wall at the north side. Press on the wall with the satyr face to open the way to the BFG9000. (sector 964)
3. When you reveal the switch next to Secret #2, press it and the column to your right will blow up, along with a hole in the wall. Run through this hole, and carefully into the lava just below the teleporter here. There is an opening here. Go up two ladders at this opening to reach another soul sphere. (sector 1014)
