E1M7: Gate of the Underworld is the seventh map of Elf Gets Pissed. It was designed by Matt Cibulas (RottKing).

Walkthrough

Map of Gate of the Underworld

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. In the U-shaped hall behind the start, get to the left side and use the west wall where the floor is different. You will find Wand Crystals, a Hellstaff, Lesser Runes, and a Quartz Flask. (sector 38)
2. In the room north of the green key area, open the west wall behind the torch and drop down to get a Tome of Power, Sun runes, and a Quartz Flask. (sector 80)
3. In the U-shaped hall behind the start, the switch at the south end lowers the closets to the east, but also lowers bars in the lava east of the start. Quickly head there before the bars rise up to find a Mystic Urn, Sun Runes, and a Claw Orb. (sector 143)
4. Head northwest of the start to the rocks and head north, jumping across. Head northeast and in the lava cave you come to, gently drop off to the northwest so you land on a platform with the switch. This switch raises the platform as well as three more going west. (sector 228)
5. After taking the platforms past Secret #4, head east a bit and north into another cave. There is a switch at the southwest end. Use it, then backtrack and head north and around to an open door with a Morph Ovum and Greater Runes. (sector 430)
