E1M8: Enigma is the eighth and final map of the 1994 Ways To Die episode of No End In Sight. It was designed by Emil Brundage (NaturalTvventy).

WalkthroughEdit

EssentialsEdit

Press the switch in front of you to lower the wall next to it then step outside and follow the path north to a bridge over nukage, which branches off to two platforms holding a shotgun and chaingun (as well as imps on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) skill level or higher). At the north end of the bridge (which falls away as you step off it) is an arena in the shape of a pentagram - approach the marble block in the middle of the arena to open closes containing two or three barons of Hell, as well as demons on HMP or higher. Once all the barons are dead the marble block will lower - step on it to be teleported to a dark walkway and head forward to some stairs. As you climb the stairs you will be teleported into a lethal ambush; the level automatically ends when your health reaches 1%.

Other points of interestEdit

Search the barons' closets to find a shotgun, chaingun, armor and ammo to help you with the fight. A supercharge can also be found by the marble block on I'm Too Young To Die and Hey Not Too Rough skill levels.

There is an exit switch south-west of the pentagram arena that can only be reached in deathmatch.

SecretsEdit

  1. Open the wall in the south-west corner of the starting room for a backpack. (sector 18)
  2. Open the wall at the end of secret #1 for a rocket launcher, a box of rockets, two medikits and a computer area map. (sector 20)
