E1M8 is the eighth and final map of the first episode of Heroes. It was originally designed by Jon Landis as !WOW!.WAD ("The word you will say after playing this!", which was also used in his Eye of the Beholder as E2M8: Catacombs and Other Stuff), then modified by Albert Dewey for the compilation.

Secrets
- At the start head forwards. A door will open behind you at the end of the western ledge below - jump onto the ledge while the door is open to reach a rocket launcher and a backpack. (sector 20)
- Jump down onto the eastern ledge at the start. At the southern end is a switch which opens a door at the other end of the ledge, leading to a chainsaw, four health bonuses, and four rockets. Note that the switch only works once, but the secret door can be still be opened even if the southern door has been opened. (sector 23)
