E1M9: Hunted Down is the ninth and secret map of Dawn of the Dead. It was designed by Jan Van der Veken and uses the music track "MUS_E1M9," composed for Heretic by Kevin Schilder.

- At the four-way intersection in the center of the map, take the east door and at the next intersection, approach the pentagram at the south wall for it to lower. Head down the steps and open the east wall at the midway point to reach an outside area with cacodemons and a megaarmor. (sector 189)
- On the ledge to the left of the starting point, go behind the chaingun and shoot the lion switch to find a BFG9000 and an energy cell pack. (sector 246)
- At the four-way intersection in the center of the map, take the north door and at the next intersection, press the gargoyle switch to your right to open a wall containing a computer area map, a shotgun, and a medikit. (sector 300)
