EssentialsEdit

Follow the vent north and east until you confront one or two imps, then go through the door ahead to enter a hub with a large fountain, as well as five doors that connect to the rest of the barracks. Kill the monsters here then go through the "Medical Center" door, climb the steps to a gray path and go straight forward to a junction, then go north to a door and open it to see a large turret in front of you. Flip the switch on the turret then go back to the hub and pass through the "Turret Control" door, kill some waiting spectres then continue north through another door and turn left to see a lift. Ride the lift up to a control room and kill a waiting shotgun guy, then flip the switch by the window - the turret will fire and detonate the silos in the yard below, along with a gate in the west wall. Go back round to the turret and step through the gate to find one or two cacodemons guarding a chaingun and the red keycard.

Go to the Crew Berths area, east of the hub, and kill the imps and zombiemen that have teleported in, then look at the four red doors on the south side - behind the second door from the west is a sleeping area containing imps and zombies. Go to the beds at the far end of the room to get the yellow keycard (along with a rocket launcher in the second bed on the east side), then leave the sleeping area and head to the Medical Center area, east of the first door you opened in the hub, to enter a small hospital with one or two cacodemons. Open two doors at the north end of the hospital to reach the helipad area, then go to the south end to find a cyberdemon defending the blue keycard. An armor and a number of rockets are placed near the helicopter to help you kill it.

Go back to the hub and kill any monsters that have appeared, then climb up the fountain and head south across the bridge to the Docking Area door. Go through it to enter the freight area from E1M3: Dissolution and kill any waiting monsters, then go to the control tower on the west side of the room and use the lift on its south side to get up there. Kill any waiting shotgun guys before flipping the switch in the control room to drop some scaffolding on the conveyor belt below, then take the lift back down and walk north to get on the conveyor belt. Now head east and navigate past the crates until you pass the scaffolding, then look south to see an open crate with an "EXIT" sign inside it. Run into this crate to finish the level.

Other points of interestEdit

After getting the yellow key, you can enter the armory south-west of the hub, which contains five weapons locked behind force fields. You can drop four of the fields by flipping the switch in the north-west corner, behind the windows, but to get the plasma gun behind the eastern-most field you must shoot the gray panel next to it as well as the wiring behind the panel.

SecretsEdit

  1. When you reach the hub room with the fountain, take the door in the south-east, south-west from the Crew Berths door. You will reach a small room where you can spot a vent through the scaffolding. Shoot this vent and you will reveal a switch. Shoot this switch too, then return the way you came as if you were heading back to the starting point. By doing so, there is a new path in the vent that is available. Go along this path, opening the bars along the way, and you will eventually reach a cave with a supercharge in a pool and energy cells in the back. (sector 566)
  2. At the Crew Berths section, there are three doors that lead to the sleeping quarters of the barracks. The eastern sleeping quarters cannot be directly accessed. Instead, enter the western sleeping quarters, and find the bed that does not contain any items on it. Open the wall behind this bed to reach the second sleeping quarters, and quickly run to the south-eastern bed (this bed will have the yellow keycard if you did not pick it up earlier) where another wall will be open. If you get through before it closes, you will be inside the eastern sleeping quarters. The sector before the megaarmor separating the two beds closest to the "stuck" red-marked door from six others counts as the secret. (sector 564)
  3. Near the yellow door at the north-eastern part of the map, go south-west through the trees towards the wall with a dead body nearby (west). Lower this wall to find an energy cell, partial invisibility, and a box of rockets. (sector 720)
  4. A set of barrels next to the blue key is in front of a greener section of the wall (north-east from the key, near the red pipes). Blow up the barrels and press on this wall to reveal an invulnerability. (sector 709)
  5. Once you climb down either set of steps to the blue key room, go back out of this room and go as if you were heading outside towards where the turret is. There is an opening on the east side (directly west of the medical center), where some monsters guard a berserk pack. (sector 726)
