This level occupies the map slot E2M1. For other maps which occupy this slot, see Category:E2M1.

E2M1: Landing Pads is the first map of Aliens TC. It was designed by Justin Fisher.

The map's subtitle on the intermission screen is Secure the area. In automap mode, the title is given as E2M1: The Landing Pads.

Landing Pads was featured in Doomworld's Top 100 Most Memorable Maps, placing 46th.

Walkthrough[edit]

Map of Landing Pads
Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. Travelling south from the start, go through the door, then turn left, then right, then left. On the left is a door to a room containing 2 pillars and a lamp. (sector 118)
  2. From #1, exit and turn right three times. On the right is a door to a room containing a leak and a small inaccessible pool. (sector 29)
  3. Exit #2 and turn right. Ahead is a door leading down some steps to a corridor. On the right is a room which brightens on entering containing a grenade in multiplayer. (sector 135)

Bugs[edit]

Three deathmatch starts (Things 53, 54 and 62) have no flags set for any of the three difficulty classes, but because of special handling in the engine, they function normally in the level.
