E2M5: Chasm Control is the fifth map of Monument. It was designed by Christian Hansen and uses the music track "".

Walkthrough

Map of Chasm Control

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. Open the cave at the start and head to the northwest bloody wall. Lower it to get a chaingun. (sector 25)
2. In the main area, use the southwest wall with the lion face to find a backpack, ammo clips, armor bonuses, and stimpacks. (sector 104)
3. Enter the building on the west side of the main area and take the lift at the north side up. From here you can get a rocket launcher and a green armor. (sector 153)
4. In the building at the north end, jump north to the platform and the BFG9000 will lower. (sector 269)
5. On the set of blocks at the southeast end, fall to the south to get a berserk pack. (sector 335)
6. On the northwest platform, jump to the northwest hole to get a radiation suit. (sector 351)
7. In the building at the west side of the main area, flip the southwest switch. Leave and go to the steps at the southwest side, going through the rock. Open the door, wait for the wall to lower, and take the teleporter to access the secret exit. (sector 401)
