E2M8: Hellgate is the eighth and final map in the second episode of Doom: Damnation. It was designed by Ofisil and uses the music track "Conquerors". The par time defined in the DEHACKED lump is 3:00.

EssentialsEdit

As the level starts you will see a water pool with eight platforms, holding a total of twelve barons of Hell along with a shotgun, a chaingun, a chainsaw, a rocket launcher, a backpack, a berserk pack, a supercharge and a megaarmor. Press the satyr switches on the marble columns to lower the platforms and collect the items, then press the unlit gargoyle switch in the middle of the pool to lower a platform with an invulnerability.

Pressing the gargoyle switch will also lower the outer walls of the arena, revealing cyberdemons to the north - one on easy skill levels, two on medium, or three on hard; a large number of lost souls, imps, demons and barons will also start teleporting in, so stay on the move. Once all the cyberdemons are killed, the level will end automatically.
