E3M1: Hells Gate is the first map in the Oh Hell episode of NJ Doom. It was designed by Nigel Rowand (Enjay).

Secrets

  1. From the room with the invulnerability, head north to reach an area with 1-3 shotgun guys. The western wall with the skull is a secret door leading to a chaingun and two boxes of bullets. (sector 73)
  2. Head south from the invulnerability room to reach a medikit. The wall to the east with the skull is a secret door leading to a teleporter back to near the start. (sector 120)
  3. The area before the exit has a path leading north over a series of islands each containing a health bonus. At the end of the passage is a medikit - the door to the south here leads back to the room with the radiation shielding suit. (sector 93)
  4. The brighter red wall west of the medikit near #3 is a secret door leading to a teleporter back to near the start. The secret sector itself is too narrow to receive credit for. (sector 117)
