E4M6: The Mourning Halls is the sixth map of episode Thy Flesh Consumed in Doom the Way id Did: The Lost Episodes. It was designed by Jeff Shark (Marnetmar) and Gus Knezevich (Alfonzo) based on a level by Sebastian Graham (General Rainbow Bacon).

Secrets

  1. At the crossroads in the north central part of the map, open either of the doors to the north and use the switch nearby. Go back to the crossroads and head to the northeast end to go through a window with a path of health bonuses, armor bonuses, and ammo clips. (sector 437)
  2. At the crossroads in the north central part of the map, open either of the doors to the north and use the switch nearby. Go back to the crossroads and head to the southeast end to go through a window with a path of health bonuses, armor bonuses, and shotgun shells. (sector 434)
  3. At the end of the path in Secret #2, open the east wall that does not have blood on it for a teleporter. This will take you to the soul sphere pillar in the middle of the crossroads. (sector 298)
  4. Head back north from the crossroads, then west and climb the steps to the switch. After you use that, go east from the doors and take the steps there for another switch. This will lower the spinal column nearby with a plasma gun on top. (sector 169)
  5. At the caves on the east side of the map, go until you reach some large rocks heading down towards where the red key is. Look at the east wall to find a section that looks cleaner than the rest, without any blood markings on it. Use it to find a secret cave. (sector 1005)
  6. In the secret cave mentioned in Secret #5, use the switch at the northeast end to remove a nearby barrier. Enter this corridor and use the switch you find, then backtrack to the secret cave and you can get a chainsaw on a lowered metal pillar at the southwest end. (sector 889)
  7. Finding the switch that lowers Secret #6 opens a nearby barrier to the north. Get out of that small cave to the north and drop down, then north again to the lava pits. The northeast route is now open, but since it is a damaging floor, you will need a radiation suit. The closest one is actually in the northernmost lava pit, well away from the route you have to take and northwest of Secret #4, but you will have to use it. Run back to the open passage going northeast, then west all the way, then through another cave as it keeps going west. When it drops off, head north and you should be done with the lava. Head north and west, making sure to hop over the gap (this is above where the radiation suit was), then head southwest to reach a BFG9000 and energy cell packs. (sector 815)
  8. In the center of the map, drop to the blood on the west side, climb the steps, and use the corner lift to head up. Head to the windows on the left side and shoot the gargoyle switch to the north, then head south and through the open door. You can then head north to get energy cells and further north to find a courtyard with a computer area map. (sector 167)
  9. In the central marble structure, climb all the way to the top switch at the south end and use it, then shoot the lion switch to the north. Descend the steps from where you came and head left until you find a teleporter. Take it to find a medikit. (sector 527)
  10. In the central marble structure, climb all the way to the top switch at the south end and use it, then shoot the lion switch to the north. Descend the steps from where you came and head right until you find a teleporter. Take it to find a medikit. (sector 532)
  11. In Secret #10, use the green torch, then go back to the south end of the marble structure. South from where the top switch was and behind the wall should be a fire wall which you can access from the steps. Go in to teleport to a soul sphere. (sector 529)
  12. Open the yellow door and drop into the lava pit to the north. Go northwest through the vines and use the skull switch. This will lower a lift near Secret #8. Go back there and drop onto the lowered lift to access a megaarmor. (sector 600)
