The eXtendable WAD editor (XWE) is an editor written by Csabo. The name comes from the fact that the editor is designed to be extensible. It is internally based around a system called XWE script which is similar to WadC. To this end, it supports not only Doom and other Doom engine games (Heretic, [[Hexen]Strife]) but also other games such as Blake Stone, Wolfenstein 3D, Quake and Duke Nukem 3D.
