End Game is an eight map collaboration PWAD for Doom II. The project is the last active contribution to the Doom community by Anthony Soto (Swedish Fish). There is no set theme as the map environments range from gothic castles to tech bases. It was uploaded to the idgames archive on January 2, 2004 however the file was soon removed due to the use of Mordeth textures. The final revised WAD was re-uploaded on June 20, 2004.

Mordeth Episode 3 resources controversy

After Anthony uploaded the file to the idgames archive in January 2004, Gaston Lahaut (Mordeth) noted its MAP06 co-authored by Michal Mesko (msquid) was originally submitted to Mordeth Episode 3.[1] Since End Game had published textures sourced from the still-unreleased Mordeth Episode 3, Gaston requested the file to be taken down. The file was removed from the idgames archive and remained unavailable for the next six months. With development being delayed by a hard drive crash,[2] Anthony eventually replaced Gaston's custom textures with GothicDM textures and re-uploaded the file in June 2004.
