Entropy is a single-level PWAD for Doom II using a Boom compatible source port that was released in May 2019. It was designed by Nirvana, uses custom music by Zachary Stephens (Ribbiks), and sports a title screen by Insane_Gazebo.

The PWAD actually contains a small bonus map, but with little (re)playability. At the Cacowards 2019 ceremony, Entropy was chosen as one of the runners-up.

Secrets

  1. Enter the building east of the starting point and follow the trail of armor bonuses to a lift. Ride it up and look at the west wall. Behind one of the two brown-wired columns, you should spot a hidden switch on the yellow wall. Shoot it, and to the east of there you will find a berserk pack. (sector 2889)
  2. Head north from the red door, then west, where an arch-vile will appear on a platform. Head north from that platform into the damaging slime and go all the way east to a teleporter, which takes you to a secret with a backpack and a megaarmor. (sector 5981)
  3. At the yellow key, you can shoot a yellow button to the southeast of where the key is, which in turn opens a wall to the west, containing another switch, which opens the way further eastward to the brown key. (sector 6294)
  4. Entering the hall that goes eastward, which was mentioned in the previous secret, lowers the switch in that secret, allowing you to use the lift behind it. Ride it up to get a soul sphere and a passage leading down to a plasma gun and the orange key area. (sector 6309)
  5. After you get the orange key, use the nearby orange switch and go to the corridors behind the orange key to find the way southeastward. In the next area, there is a tucked-away switch on the east wall that you can shoot (it is to the left of an orange block which will reveal a later switch). Shooting it reveals a nearby alcove with a box of shotgun shells and an energy cell pack. Two chaingunners will be here on Ultra-Violence or higher. (sector 5735)
  6. Now leave the area mentioned above using a series of switches and a lift up. Head west and north, but before dropping into the next area, look to the southwest to spot a switch behind a metal column. Shoot it, then continue. After a series of switches, you should be able to head to the west, to an area with a BFG9000 requiring a grey key and a few barriers requiring the yellow and orange keys. The switch that doesn't require a key is on the north wall. After using it, backtrack east, then north. Three platforms will be over the damaging slime. Go across them and into the alcove to the south with a radiation suit and a switch. This counts as a secret, but you can use both the switch and the radiation suit to head south of the platforms and collect a soul sphere. (sector 4478)
  7. Enter the building east of the starting point and notice the platform with the revenant (arch-vile on Ultra-Violence or higher) and soul sphere on it. East of there is a rocket launcher. When you pick up the rocket launcher, the soul sphere platform will lower, but you will have to return to this area at a later point because you had to drop in to get the rocket launcher. From Secret #6, go east and use the lift, then you will be able to get the soul sphere. (sector 1797)
  8. Head a bit east, south, and west from where Secret #6 is, towards the stimpack and rockets. You should hear a lift lower, which was just behind you. Enter the teleporter here and head south, following the health bonuses to a backpack. (sector 6436)
  9. After you get the brown key (from the far southeast area of the map), return to the starting point and use the brown key switch. Drop into the sludge below picking up a radiation suit on the way down, and do not forget the key at the north end of the sludge. A horde of enemies appears behind you, and another switch is in the area they came from. After using that switch, head all the way south and all the way east to the teleporter at the end, but notice the orange button on the walls. Shoot it, then backtrack west a bit to discover another teleporter on the south wall. This will take you to a secret area with several supplies needed to fight off imps, demons, and a cyberdemon.
