The Doom Wiki is an extensive community effort to document everything related to id Software's masterpiece games Doom and Doom II, other games based on the Doom engine, Doom 3, Doom (2016), Doom Eternal, and more. We have created 23,350 articles to date.

Doom95

Doom95 is an official port of Doom to the Microsoft Windows operating system, and is included in many later releases of The Ultimate Doom, Doom II, and Final Doom. This port was developed by a team at Microsoft started by Gabe Newell, who later co-founded Valve Software and developed Half-Life, and headed by Alex St. John, the creator of the DirectX specification. It was to serve as a flagship for the new technology, and was released on August 20, 1996.
