The first area the marine goes through is the surface area, where he has to swiftly find the ladder to the catwalk and run to the nearby airlock. Once inside, the marine encounters Ryden, a survivor who tells him that he has sent a sentry bot down into the sewage tunnel and that it's still there. He says the marine should find it and follow it to the exit from tunnel and reach the monorail station there. The marine then proceeds deeper into the facility, fighting his wau through several rooms and corridors. On his way he can find an optional armory, the access to which is granted by picking up a PDA located nearby. Eventually, the marine enters the sewage tunnels, which are not toxic, unlike the ones in the previous level, and meets up with the sentry bot. Together they fight their way through tunnels, filled with all sorts of monsters, until they find the exit, where the sentry bot becomes dormant.

The marine enters the monorail station via a maintenance shaft. However, something isn't right: the station is filled with corpses and hellish residue, and it's pretty spacious. It's almost as if there's going to be a boss fight. And sure, once the marine calls for the monorail car, the wall behind him breaks and the Helltime Hunter appears! This Hunter is normally invincible and throws fireballs at the marine, but after some time it enters it's berserk mode and tries to leap at the marine. However, during its berserk mode it also opens up its rib cage, revealing its heart. The marine must shoot at its heart during its berserk mode (with the help of Artifact's Hell Time power). After dealing enough damage to the Hunter's heart, it becomes defeated and burns away, giving the marine a new power - Berserk, which allows him to deal much greater damage while using the Artifact.

Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil maps
Erebus - Level 6: Erebus Station
Map name: game/erebus6

Erebus - Level 6: Erebus Station is the sixth level of Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil. Player must first navigate an surface area, then fight through sewer tunnels with the help of a sentry bot, and finally, win a boss fight against Berserk Hunter, after which the player acquires the Berserk power for The Artifact. The cacodemons and revenants return in this level.

Summary

The marine then takes the monorail train to the Phobos labs.
