List of File Types Used by Doom/Doom II
- .lmp -Doom exectuable demo recording format
- .wad -Doom level resource file (contains textures, sprites, music, and level layout)

- .deh -DeHacked file which allows editing of hardcoded aspects of doom
- .lev -file which can be loaded along with a pwad and renames doom levels
- .mus -music file format of doom
- .bex
Doom Utility File Types
- .bat -executable text file that contains command prompts designed to alter the behavior of the doom executable.
