I liked my second version better. The jagged edges where the face contrasts against the white background look nasty, and the drop shadow hides that a bit. Also, I think it looks better with a bit more space. Fraggle 20:11, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

AFAICT custom search icons are now deprecated by Wikia, and can't be used at all in the new skins. I would love to be proved wrong (I admit I don't always know where to find things on their help pages) because it is a very cool customization aside from the copyright issues. Procedurally, however, there seems to be no reason to keep it around.
