While I understand the motivation of not supplying this in a high resolution, this is really terrible. There's tons of JPEG artifacting even though the image is in PNG format, and absolutely none of the text is readable. IMO, something of this low quality does not add value to the wiki but detracts by looking so bad. --[[User:Quasar|Quasar]] 21:09, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

:Since [http://doomwiki.org/w/images/archive/6/65/20140323160446!Strife_Town_paper_map.png this is the original image], I guess it's a ripped texture. I can't find a better image anyway. I guess this should be reverted to the lower resolution version and then include it in an article. If it's not linked from anywhere and/or correctly categorised, I don't see the point on keeping it. --[[User:Kyano|Kyano]] 21:14, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

While I understand the motivation of not supplying this in a high resolution, this is really terrible. There's tons of JPEG artifacting even though the image is in PNG format, and absolutely none of the text is readable. IMO, something of this low quality does not add value to the wiki but detracts by looking so bad. --Quasar 21:09, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

Since this is the original image, I guess it's a ripped texture. I can't find a better image anyway. I guess this should be reverted to the lower resolution version and then include it in an article. If it's not linked from anywhere and/or correctly categorised, I don't see the point on keeping it. --Kyano 21:14, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
I understand. I wasn't exactly sure what was needed for the picture to fulfill fair use criteria, so I blurred the guide texts just in case. Do you think if the idea of presenting the map should be rejected entirely, or if we would do as Kyano suggested? I'm fine with any choice. --Jartapran 21:42, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
Where did you get this image from? Is it a texture from the game itself? A scan from the game manual? Do you have an article or a category to put this image into? --Kyano 21:48, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
