Final Doom is the last among the classic series of Doom games. It was developed by TeamTNT and published in June 1996. The project started out on the Doom mailing list, but was soon taken over by id Software, to be released as an official id product.

Final Doom Box Cover

It contains TNT: Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment, two 32-level replacement IWADs for Doom II (as well as a version of the Doom II executable, allowing it to be played as a stand-alone application). In addition to new maps, there are many new textures and (in TNT: Evilution) new music. The Plutonia Experiment uses music from Doom & Doom II mixed into a unique order.

TNT: Evilution, being somewhat easier at first, is intended to be played before The Plutonia Experiment (although it is not clear which comes before the other chronologically).
