The flame belcher being used against a group of zombies.

The flame belch is a shoulder-mounted side-arm weapon occurring in Doom Eternal. It shares its shoulder mounting point—one of the game's new features added to the Praetor suit—with the grenade launcher and ice bomb, though it always available as a separate attack in addition to the currently selected grenade type. It fires a short burst of flames that sets enemies ablaze, doing damage over a long period of time and stunning the enemies while they burn. By turning left and right while the flames are firing, the Doom Slayer can spread the damage out across multiple targets with a single use. Killing enemies with combo attacks using the player's main weapon will reward the player with armor shards.
