The flame belch is a shoulder-mounted side-arm weapon occurring in Doom Eternal. It shares its shoulder mounting point—one of the game's new features added to the Praetor suit—with the grenade launcher and ice bomb, though it always available as a separate attack in addition to the currently selected grenade type. It fires a short burst of flames that sets enemies ablaze, doing damage over a long period of time. By turning left and right while the flames are firing, the Doom Slayer can spread the damage out across multiple targets with a single use.

Enemies that have been set on fire drop armor shards as long as they are ablaze. Killing an enemy outright while it is on fire (either through fire damage alone or due to the use of other weapons) will produce a larger armor drop.
