Fusion was a source port created by David Wood and hosted by Len Pitre. It is derived from MBF. Its first and last version, 1.0, was finished in 2000 but waited until 2002 to be released.

Features

  • Boom and MBF features
  • Jumping
  • Variable gravity
  • Several new things
  • Several new codepointers
  • Hundreds of dummy frames for use in DeHackEd
  • Custom transparency tables for each standard MBF actor (each has a hardcoded lump name for an associated table)

Fusion is licensed under the GNU GPL.

Legacy

Fusion aimed at providing modders with additional features through additions to DeHackEd and BEX. It remained mostly obscure and practically no maps were created making use of Fusion's exclusive additions.

The DEHEXTRA standard can be considered a spiritual sequel to the idea's featured in Fusion, boasting support for Doom Retro, Crispy Doom, Eternity Engine, GZDoom and PrBoom+ (UMAPINFO branch by Graf Zahl).
