Health bonus alcove in Doom II, MAP01

A health bonus (or health potion) is a powerup that appears as a small blue bottle. Picking one up increases the player's health by 1% up to a maximum of 200%.

Health bonuses are worth 2% in many ports, including the Sega Genesis and Playstation 1 ports. The upper limit of 200% can be altered with DeHackEd.

Health bonuses are included in the items percentage displayed at the end of each level.
